Grapefruit Seed Extract

This extract is from the seeds of grapefruits (Citrus recemosa). It contains phenolic compounds, bioflavonoids e.g. naringin, amino acids, fatty acids, tocopherols (Vitamin E), saccarides, ascorbic acid and dehydroascorbic acids.
It can be effective against over 800 strains of viruses and bacteria, 100 strains of fungi.
It is an broad-spectrum natural antibiotic and highly active against protozoa, bacteria, yeast, parasites like giardia and some viruses like herpes virus.
Grapefruit seed extract can be effective in treating hundreds of different organisms including: Shigella, Staphylococcus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Giardia lamblia, Diplococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, Mycobacterium species, Campylobacter, candida albicans (it can be an alternative to the antifungal drug Nystatine), Escherichia coli, Streptococcus, Salmonella, Klebsiella, Proteus, Cholera, Chlamydia trachomatis, Trichomonas vaginalis, Legionella pneumoniae, Helicobacter pylori, Herpes1, Influenza A2, and measles virus. It has been shown to kill both gram-negative and gram-positive strains of bacteria.
GSE (Grapefruit Seed Extract) has been proven in laboratory tests to be 10 to 100 times more effective as a disinfectant than chlorine, colloidal silver, and iodine. The United States Department of Agriculture tested GSE and found it effective against four animal viruses: Foot and Mouth Disease, African Swine fever, Swine Vesicular Disease, and Avian influenza.
Also it is disinfectant, and it works as a preservative in cosmetics or herbal blends like Formula 256.
The effects of grapefruit seed extract are powerful to treat gastrointestinal and digestive upsets, infections and viruses of any kind including flu, tooth and gum infections, ear and throat infections and sinusitis as well.
According to researcher at Pasteur Institute, France/Europe has GSE the prophylactic potential against the HIV virus as well as against some of the secondary infections associated with AIDS.
Mirko Albrecht, NC., an active member of malaria.ws recommends always grapefruit seed extract in combination with herbs and supplements, that supports the liver.
The background is simple. The natural remedy such GSE can cause a reaction, called Herxheimer. The Herxheimer reaction (also known as Jarisch-Herxheimer or Herx) occurs when large quantities of toxins are released into the body as bacteria (typically spirochetes) die during antibiotic treatment. It is a detoxification reaction and not a side effect caused by nutritional supplements and herbs. Patients who have this may experience greater fatigue, diarrhoea, headaches, muscle/joint aches or flu-like symptoms. We can to reduce this reaction. God created several ingredients to liver relief such as milk thistle seeds, papaya seeds and leaves, native PNG ginger, galangal root and choline. All these ingredients you can find in the Formula 256. They support the liver function and general the detoxification related processes in the organism and this is a great help to relief.
Grapefruit seed extract has an alkalizing effect on the organism. Different fluids such as blood, saliva, urine etc. in the human body have generally a delicate range of acid-alkaline balance in order to maintain an optimal functioning. The optimal pH value is e.g. important for a healthy immune system function, for wound and infection healing processes.
The blood pH value is 7,3 to 7,4, saliva pH value has a level between 6,5 to 7,0 and the urine pH value is very variable over a period of 24 hours.
Infections cause an imbalance of the natural Acid-Alkaline system in the organism, called acidosis. This acidosis delays (or stops) the healing process of infections.
Therefore it is important to have an alkaline ingredient like the Grapefruit seed extract.
The healing process of infections is not only composed of one part. Many various effects can be needed for the healing process. Grapefruit seed extract has synergetic effects to lemongrass oil, native PGN ginger, turmeric, oregano, mango leaf, galangal, vitamin A, C and zinc.
